For dynamic probing as per DIN 4094 the hydr. penetrometer is operating with a drop weight of 10 (anvil), 30 or 50 kgs and a falling height of 50 cm. Exchange of the drop weights required is quick and easy. A mechanical connector of the anvil takes care of the constant falling height of 50 cm. The blows are counted electro-mechanically and recorded in decades. After a penetration depth of 10 decades = 100 cm the penetrometer is stopped by switching off the 10th record. For Standard Penetration Testing (SPT) a penetrometer with 63,5 kg drop weight and 76,2 cm falling height is available.

Dynamic probing by RS 0/2.3
For soil sampling the well-known drive samplers ( pls. refer to "RKS") can be driven into the ground at high blowing energy by means of the penetrometer with low frequency or the fast going hydraulic hammer. Extracting of the sounding and drilling rods is effected by means of hydr. pull-up. For the high friction forces acting at the beginning of the retracting sequence a hydraulic extracting device is available.
